U19's: Glynn bolsters backroom team

Galway United U19 Manager Johnny Glynn has acted quickly to bolster his backroom team.

Joining Glynn is former United stalwart Nigel Keady, who has taken the position of U19 coach. Keady currently works for the FAI as a development officer in Galway and he spent a season in charge of the Galway WFC.

Also joining Keady is Barry McGann, who will hold the position of technical coach. McGann has spent two years working at the Chelsea Academy and will have a key role developing player skills.

Galway United’s U19’s will play home matches at Eamonn Deacy Park. Season ticket holders will gain free admittance to all U19 fixtures. Admission will be €5.

Galway United have been placed in Section 2, along with Athlone Town, Bohemians, Longford Town, St Patrick’s Athletic, Shamrock Rovers and Shelbourne.

The U19 season commences on the 23rd of August and will run until December 13th. The shortened league calendar is to allow for the aligning of the U19 season with the senior SSE Airtricity League season from 2016.

Internships are available with the Galway United U19’s. Johnny Glynn is seeking additional support for his backroom team in the following areas:
1. Physio
2. Strength/Conditioning
3. Match analysis

Interested applicants should e-mail their CV to info@galwayunitedfc.ie.
