Match Preview | Bohemians

Galway United travel to Dalymount Park on Friday evening to take on Bohemians. Kick-off: 7.45pm.

On Monday, United fell to a 2-1 defeat to Bohemians Dublin rivals Shamrock Rovers at Eamonn Deacy Park.

Goals in either half from Gary Shaw sealed the points for Stephen Bradley’s side. Meanwhile Bohemians won their second game in a row, beating Limerick 1-0 at the Markets Field.

SHANE KEEGAN TAKING THE POSITIVES FROM THE SHAMROCK ROVERS GAME
“It’s rare enough that you lose a game and say that it was a bit of a confidence building performance.

“We went toe-to-toe with Shamrock Rovers and gave as good as we got and we were very unlucky not to get something out of it.

“We’re not happy, but at the same time, the players do realise that they played well against one of the top sides in the country and that has given them confidence. We’re trying to turn the good performances into points now.

“Bohemians, given their current form, isn’t going to easy. They’ve won their last two games against teams as strong as Limerick and Bray Wanderers, so they’re going to be flying and brimming with confidence.”

VINNY FAHERTY LOOKING FOR UNITED TO BUILD IN DALYMOUNT PARK
“We deserved something from the Rovers game, a blatant handball was missed in the lead up to their winner when I felt we were on top. That played a massive part in the outcome.

“The result wasn’t what we wanted but the performance wasn’t bad, we need to build on that now and really put our best foot forward against Bohs.

“It’ll be a tough game, it always is in Dalymount, but we have enough quality to go there and win.”
