Tommy Dunne | "It was a big point for us"

Galway United earned a hard-fought 0-0 against Dundalk at Oriel Park on Friday night.

John Mountney and Daryl Horgan both cracked the post but Conor Winn remained largely untested throughout.

Dundalk goalkeeper Gabriel Sava had to pull off several saves to deny Jake Keegan and Ryan Connolly but on the balance of play, a draw was a fair result.

On Saturday night, United travel to the Carlisle Grounds for another crunch league tie against Bray Wanderers. Kick-off is at 5.45pm.
