Galway United return to action this Monday night, when they face Waterford FC at Eamonn Deacy Park, in the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division.

Waterford come into this game after being defeated 5-0 by Dundalk on Friday.
The Blues are manged by former Galway assistant manager, Jon Daly. The former Rangers player was assistant with United for the back end of last season.
Waterford have retained the majority of their squad from last season, with Conan Noonan signing on a full-time basis from Shamrock Rovers. The Kildare native and Padraig Amond are key men for the Munster side in attack.

United come into this game following a narrow 1-0 loss against Bohemian FC.
Galway have made a solid start to the season, where they have performed very well in the majority of their fixtures to date.
The westerners have made a number of new signings, with Kris Twardek and Arthur Parker very impressive for the tribesmen so far, in their debut season with Galway.
A fellow new signing, Frantz Pierrot could make his first home start this Monday against Waterford.

Reflecting on Friday's loss to Bohs, Galway United manager, John Caulfield was disappointed with the defeat but pleased with his side's performance. The Galway United manager stated that Monday's game against Waterford is a crucial clash.
"Monday's game is now the biggest game of the season", said Caulfield.
The experienced manager also urged fans to support the side on Monday night.
"We need to put our energy into Monday's game. We need a big crowd on Monday night. They know from the start of the season we have a new team but I think they've seen encouraging performances and effort from the team, which is what you want, but we need to turn the screw."
