Galway United return to action this Monday night, when they face St. Patrick's Athletic in their re-arranged fixture at Richmond Park. The fixture between the two teams was meant to take place over two weeks ago, but did not take place due to an unplayable pitch.

Stephen Kenny remains in charge of St. Patrick's Athletic for the 2026 season. They have retained the majority of their squad from last year with Kian Leavy being a key man for the saints.

Speaking ahead of Monday's game in Inchicore, Galway United manager, John Caulfield said his side will be coming into the game with confidence.
"Positive results help confidence, when we have a team of new players who are jelling for the first time."
The former Cork City manager also stated that new signing Pierrot will be available for selection on Monday.
"He's been training away from us for five weeks, he says he is very fit, I'll judge that on Sunday. He wants to be involved for Monday night, it's a good sign."
