Wicklow native Aaron Bolger joined Galway United in July 2025. He is an experienced League of Ireland midfielder, having previously had spells at teams such as Shamrock Rovers, Cork City and most recently St. Patrick’s Athletic. Bolger also spent time at Cardiff City as well as a recent loan tenure at Ebbsfleet United. The Avoca man first came through at St Joseph’s Boys, and would make his senior League of Ireland debut for Shamrock Rovers in September 2016. Bolger has represented Ireland at U16, U17, U18, and U19 level.
