Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder joined Galway United following the expiration of his contract at Luton Town, in 2025. Axel spent the 2024-2025 season on loan at Cliftonville of the NIFL Premiership racking up 24 league appearances, and helping the club to qualify for the Conference League preliminary rounds. The Londoner joined the Spurs academy as a youngster and featured at U18 level before making the move to Kenilworth Road, where he featured in several Premier League matchday squads. The skillful midfielder picked up his first piece of senior silverware in 2024 when Cliftonville sealed the BetMcLean Cup after beating Glentoran at Windsor Park.
