
Nicolas Fleuriau Chateau is a Canadian player from Ottawa, Ontario, who plays as a forward for Galway United in the League of Ireland Premier Division. After a standout youth career with Capital United and West Ottawa SC, he played collegiately for St. John’s University, where he overcame a 2022 ACL injury to lead the Big East with 14 goals in 2023, earning First Team All-Big East and Second Team Academic All-American honors. Selected 74th overall in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft, Fleuriau Chateau began his professional career with Whitecaps FC 2, setting a single-season club record with nine goals before making his Major League Soccer debut with the Vancouver Whitecaps first team in July 2024. In 2025, he was loaned to Finnish Veikkausliiga club Vaasan Palloseura (VPS), before officially signing with Galway United in January 2026.
