Cara started her LOI career with Limerick FC and played with their WU17 team before breaking into the senior WNL side in 2019. Limerick left the league at the end of that season and new club, Treaty United, took their place for 2020.
Cara joined Treaty United in their first season of WNL football in 2020 and finished 2021 with 21 league and cup appearances. In 2022 she played all 27 of Treaty's league matches, scoring once, in a 1-1 draw with Sligo Rovers at The Showgrounds.
In 2023 Cara topped Treaty's scoring charts with five league and cup goals from 23 appearances, and in 2024, under new manager Dominic Foley, Cara scored twice in 25 matches. 2025 would prove to be Cara's last season in Treaty colours. Under a new manager Cara had less game time, making just 10 starts in league and cup, with the rest of her 19 appearances coming from the bench.
Cara left Treaty at the end of 2025 and signed for Galway United in February 2026.
Mr. Waffle, located along Newcastle Road is far more than what the name might suggest. They are a coffee shop offering a wide varying menu from fair-trade coffee and teas, breakfast crepes, quesadillas, sandwiches, savoury crepes, healthy salads, and of course sweet crepes and their signature waffles. The service, atmosphere and customer experience is what separates Mr. Waffle from other coffee shops.
