Jayne is a goalkeeper who played with the Shamrock Rovers WU17 squad in 2021 and with their WU19 side in 2022 and 2023.

In January 2024 Jayne signed for Wexford FC and came into the side for the second game of the season, away to Shamrock Rovers. She kept her place and went on to play 20 league and cup games for Wexford that year, and also won the goalkeeper's spot on the FAI's Women's Premier Division Team of the Year.

Jayne was re-signed by Wexford ahead of the 2025 season, but after two more 'keepers were signed it was announced that she had left the club just two weeks before the season started. Days later she signed for Galway United and she made her bow for the Tribeswomen against Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds on 19 April 2025. She made 3 appearances before injury ended her season, though she remained an engaging presence throughout the year in the Galway LOITV commentary box.
