Galway United return to action this Friday night, when they face Derry City at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium, in the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division.

Following the departure of Tiernan Lynch, Clones native, Mark Connolly is in charge of Derry.

Following a disappoint first half to the season, City have performed well in recent weeks and sit just above Galway united in the league table.

United will also face Derry City in the Men's FAI Cup semi-final next month.

Derry native, Michael Duffy is still a key player for the Candystripes, and he has been in sensational form recently.

Speaking ahead of Friday's game, Galway United manager, Caulfield said that this Friday's game will be a difficult task.

"They are a very good side. They've some really good players. It's a quick turnaround as well. Hopefully we can carry Monday's performance into Friday."‍
