Galway United return to action this Friday night, when they face Crumlin United in the FAI Men's Cup at Pearse Stadium.
Galway United's opponents this weekend are amateur outfit, Crumlin United. Crumlin were promoted from the Leinster Senior League Senior 1 Sunday Division earlier this summer, and will play their trade in the top division of the largely Dublin based league next season.
The side are currently in the off season, with their league campaign kicking off next month.
The visitors have not played a competitive game since June.
The Dublin side's squad includes a number of former professional players, including Greg Moorhouse, Daniel Dobbin and Kevin Lynch.
The side are managed by club stalwart, James Lee.

United come into Friday's game following a dramatic derby win in the league over Sligo Rovers, at Pearse Stadium.
A late Mattie Wolfe goal secured all three points for the hosts.
Kris Twardek will be in line to return to action, after he was sidelined for a number of weeks due to injury.
New signing, Dylan Connolly is also expected to make an appearance, as is local players Junior Thiam James Morahan.
United reached the quarter finals of cup last year, before they were knocked out after extra-time by St. Patrick's Athletic.

Speaking ahead of Friday's game, Galway manager John Caulfield called on supporters to get behind his side on Friday.
"We're really looking forward to the game and hopefully we can get a good crowd. Crumlin are a powerful club in the amaetur game. I came up against them many times when I was manager at Avondale United. They've James Lee as their manager and Martin Loughran there as well, stalwarts of their club."
Caulfield also announced that Kris Twardek has returned from injury, and is hoping a number of local players will see action this weekend.
"Kris Twardek will be available for selection. He was obviously out for a few weeks. Dylan Connolly, Leigh Kavanagh, Francely Lomboto, James Morahan and Junior Thiam will also be available and will be in line to play."
