St. Patrick's Athletic

St Pat's come into this game in impressive form and they sit top of the Men's Premier Division table.

The Saints come into this game following a 3-1 victory over Bohemian FC last Friday.

Stephen Kenny remains in charge of St. Patrick's Athletic for the 2026 season. They have retained the majority of their squad from last year with Kian Leavy being a key man for the Dublin side.

The Inchicore outfit side had an underwhelming year in 2025 and they will look to improve on their 5th placed finish in the league.

One of their key players from last season, Mason Melia, has left the club to join Tottenham Hotspur in England.

Kenny's charges defeated United earlier this season at Richmond Park, following a tight and tense affair.

Manager's thoughts

Following last Friday's draw in Waterford, Caulfield admitted that this Friday's fixture will be a tough game for his side.

"We have the league leaders, St. Pat's coming to play us next week. It's a big game. They are in fine form and are top of the table. If we perform like tonight we can give them a game."

The former Avondale United manager also said he hopes there will be a large home support there in Eamonn Deacy Park on Friday.

"It's our first home game in three weeks, so it's big. It's important we have a big home support there, to try and help us get over the line."
