Galway United are delighted to announce the signings of Evan Watts and Arthur Parker on loan from Swansea City.

The pair have joined the Tribesmen ahead of the 2026 SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division season.

Watts will be no stranger to United fans, as the goalkeeper was on loan last season with the Tribesmen, from Swansea.

He made 18 appearances for John Caulfield’s charges in all competitions in 2025, impressing in many games.

In March of last year, the 21-year-old made his debut for the Westerners in a 1-1 draw against Derry City, at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium.

Watts joined Swansea City at under 12 level in 2016 and signed his first professional contract with the Welsh club in 2023. Evan signed a new one-and-a-half-year contract with the option for a further one year, with Swansea City in December 2024.

Watts’ shot stopping ability was very impressive last season, with his distribution evidently improving as the year progressed.

He has also represented Cyrmu at numerous different age grades, including seven appearances for his country at U21 level.

ARTHUR PARKER

Defender, Arthur Parker has also joined United on loan from The Swans. Parker is 19 years of age and is predominantly a central defender but can also play right back or in a central defensive midfield role.

In 2022, Parker joined Swansea from Fulham’s academy. The English man would go onto play at U18 and U21 level for Swansea City.

The teenager spent nine years at Fulham after joining the west London club at under-eight level.

Parker joined Swansea on a two-year scholarship in August of 2022, following a successful trial.

The defender signed his first professional contract with the EFL Championship club in July of 2024. He made his U21 debut for the club in a 2-1 victory over Colchester United nearly two years ago, despite only being 17 years old at the time.
