Welcome Frantz Pierrot

Galway United recently announced the signing of Haitian striker, Frantz Pierrot.

Pierrot is no stranger to Irish football as he previously had spells with Athlone Town and Drogheda United.


The experienced attacker joins United from Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv FC.

The Haiti international played college soccer with three different colleges in the USA. He lined out with Saint Joseph's Hawks from 2018 to 2020, Merrimack Warriors from 2020 to 2021, and UConn Huskies in 2022.

Pierrot also plied his trade with USL League Two side Westchester Flames, where he scored 5 goals in 7 games. He then had spells with Reading United, Boston Bolts and Seacoast United Phantoms in the same division until 2021. During his time at Boston Bolts, he averaged a goal every two games.


In December 2022, the 26-year-old was selected as a round 3 pick by MLS side Houston Dynamo in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft, however Pierrot left the club to join Athlone Town ahead of the 2023 First Division season.


During his time at the Midlands club, he scored 22 goals in 38 appearances for the Westmeath outfit.


Pierrot’s impressive performances in 2023 saw him selected for the PFAI Men’s First Division team of the year. His form also saw him catch the attention of many clubs in Ireland. The forward ultimately joined Drogheda United ahead of the 2024 season.


Frantz scored 10 goals in 31 appearances for the Louth outfit and won an FAI Cup medal with the club, following a final victory against Derry City.


Following the completion of the 2024 season, Pierrot left Drogheda and joined Fudbalski klub Velež Mostar in Bosnia Herzegovina. After a brief spell in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he joined Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv FC, where he scored two goals in 10 appearances for the club.


In March 2024, he made his international debut for Haiti in a 1–1 draw with French Guiana in a friendly international.
