Galway United can provide the following update to our Women’s First-Team squad, as we prepare for the new season.

After another positive Women’s Premier Division season last year, Galway United are excited to announce the following players have signed for the 2026 season.

The vast majority of Phill Trill’s squad from last year will remain at the club for the upcoming season. There are also several survivors from United’s back-to-back All-Island Cup successes in 2023 and 2024, such as Aoibheann Costello, Kate Thompson, and Lynsey McKey.

There are seven Galway natives in this year’s squad again this season, showing there is a pathway for local girls in the county.

Galway United FC can confirm the departures of Therese Kinnevey, Lizzy Knight, Rola Olusola, Amanda Smith and Jamie Erickson.
