Galway United advanced to the 3rd round of the Men's FAI Cup following a comfortable victory at Pearse Stadium on Friday night, against amateur outfit, Crumlin United.
John Caulfield named a strong side for this game, and the hosts took the lead in the 11th minute, when Mattie Wolfe smashed home a penalty, following a foul in the Crumlin United box.
Crumlin grew into the game after this and created some half chances, but it was Galway who doubled their lead in the 23rd minute through Francely Lomboto.
15 minutes later, Wolfe grabbed the second of his brace with a neat finish, as United led 3-0 at the interval.
Five minutes into the second half Stephen Walsh got on the scoresheet following neat play by the home side.
Not long after, tribesmen underage player, Conor Whittaker was introduced for his adult debut with Galway.
Fellow academy players, Junior Thiam and James Morahan were also introduced as substitutes in the game.
Both sides created some chances in the remaining minutes, but no more balls found the back of the net, as United ran out comfortable winners.
