Sinnott progressed through Galway United’s under-21 side under manager Billy Clery before making the breakthrough into the first team in 2009.

The former Renmore player formed a strong partnership with Jamie McKenzie at the heart of Galway United’s defence in 2010.

After spending three seasons with Galway United, Sinnott signed for Johnny Glynn’s Mervue United side in 2013.

Sinnott re-signed for Galway United in December 2014 and he made 35 appearances in United’s promotion winning campaign, scoring two goals.

In December 2014, Sinnott committed his future to the club for the 2015 season and he made 34 appearances for the Tribesmen, leading the club to safety in the Premier Division and into the EA SPORTS Cup Final.

Sinnott continued to be an ever-present in United’s side in 2016, making 31 appearances, operating in defence and midfield. Newly appointed Galway United boss Shane Keegan renewed Sinnott’s contract with the club for the 2017 season.
