FRIDAY – Cork City (A)
Galway United face Cork City this Friday night in the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division. Both teams come into the game after home losses, United suffered a 2-4 loss to the hands of Waterford at Eamonn Deacy Park. Cork City meanwhile are fresh off a dramatic 2-3 loss against Sligo Rovers.

Jimmy Keohane moved into the top 200 appearance makers when coming off the bench last week and could be making his 30th appearance for the club tonight.

A couple of 2-0 wins on this date, 20 years ago away at Kilkenny City when Barry Moran scored a brace, in 2008 John Russell and Jay O’Shea scored away at Finn Harps.
The most recent match on this date was in 2014 when losing 0-1 at home to Shelbourne.

SATURDAY – PEAMOUNT UNITED (H)
Phill Trill’s side come into the game following a narrow defeat against Wexford in the All-Island Cup semi-final last weekend. United’s last league game was a 1-1 draw away to Athlone Town with a goal from Aislinn Meaney.
United will be boosted by the signing of Jamie Erickson, she returns to the club after a number of months away. Erickson was the first player to reach the 50 appearance landmark for our Senior Women’s side back in 2024. The game will also be live on TG4 with a later kick-off time than usual, of 7:30PM at Eamonn Deacy Park.

Last time out against Peamount in the league, United recorded a 3-1 win at Eamonn Deacy Park back in 2024. A Julie-Ann Russell brace and an Emma Doherty goal saw United run out as convincing winners on the day.
