Aoibheann Costello Signs for 2025

Galway United are delighted to announce that Aoibheann Costello has re-signed for the Senior Women’s team ahead of the 2025 season.
The 20-year-old defender has committed to The Tribeswomen for 2025 and heads into her third season at United since the foundation of the Senior Women’s team in 2023..

Aoibheann played with Cregmore Claregalway FC as a youth, even scoring in Eamonn Deacy Park as a 13 year old in the U14 FAI Cup Final. She started her senior career with Galway WFC before signing for Phil Trill’s United side for the 2023 season.

A native of Miltown, Costello made 20 appearances in all competitions last season for United playing a vital role in our league success and the team’s retention of the Avenir Sports All-Island Cup.
Aoibheann Costello has returned for 2025 and there will be plenty more announcements as we look to continue building our squad for next season. Keep an eye out on our social media for updates!
