Cunningham injury update
Galway United’s recent run of bad luck with injuries continued at training on Sunday morning when Padraic Cunningham injured his knee in an innocuous fall.
Currently the Tribesmen are down to the bare bones as several players are unavailable due to various injuries. These include: Ryan Connolly (ankle), Enda Curran (hamstring), Conor Barry (thigh), Marc Ludden (ankle), Andy O’Connell (foot) and now Padraic Cunningham (knee).
After consulting a specialist, a scan revealed that the cartilage in his knee has been damaged and that surgery is required, so Cunningham is facing a lengthy period on the sidelines recovering.
Everybody at the club wishes Padraic well in his surgery next week.
