A Proven Talent Between the Posts

Jack Brady, standing at 1.85 meters, has had a commendable career across various Irish clubs. Beginning his journey at St. Kevin’s Boys F.C., Brady progressed through the youth ranks at Shelbourne, where he made his senior debut in a 2-0 victory over Cobh Ramblers. His impressive performances have since seen him play for Longford Town, Limerick, and Treaty United and back to Longford Town in 2023. Brady was part of Longford Town’s wins against Galway United in the league last year, and was a standout player keeping out many United chances on both nights.

With over 100 senior appearances to his name, Brady is known for his excellent shot-stopping abilities, composure under pressure, and strong command of the penalty area. His move to Galway United marks the next step in his career, and he is eager to contribute to the team’s success.

A New Chapter at Galway United

Jack Brady expressed his excitement about joining Galway United and his ambition for the future. “To be given the opportunity to work in a full-time capacity and really work on myself and to make myself an even better player is all I ever wanted to do in my career,” Brady stated. “I’m 27 now, and to get the opportunity to come into a full-time setup is a privilege.”

Brady’s commitment to his craft and his positive attitude are qualities that he believes will be valuable to Galway United. “What you’re getting with me is a great attitude, and I will always push myself. The opportunity to be here is massive, and I’m going to grab it with both hands. I’m really excited.”

A Local Connection

Brady, from Killaloe, Co. Clare feels a strong connection to Galway United and its supporters. “Galway United would be my local club outside of Treaty United in Limerick. Galway is an unbelievable club with a great following, and the club has picked up so much in general recently. It’s so exciting, from the fans to the growing professionalism. I just can’t wait to get started here.”

Exciting Times Ahead

It’s an exciting time for all Galway United fans, as we can look forward to seeing a familiar face with exceptional talent don the Galway United jersey and lead the team throughout the season.

Our next game is against Longford Town in the Sports Direct FAI Cup this Friday, 19th July, at 7:45PM in Eamonn Deacy Park. Tickets are available HERE.
