United drawn at home to Bohemians in EA SPORTS Cup
The draw for the quarter-finals of the EA SPORTS Cup took place this afternoon at FAI Headquarters. It was made by FAI Competitions Director Fran Gavin and FAI High Performance Director Ruud Dokter and streamed live on sseairtricityleague.ie.
The draw sees holders Dundalk facing a trip to Munster Senior League side UCC, who have already beaten two SSE Airtricity League sides – Wexford Youths and Cobh Ramblers – on their way to the last eight.
Last season’s runners-up Shamrock Rovers, who are bidding to reach a fourth successive final, are away to Derry City, who are seeking to win the competition for a record 11th time.
Cork City, who last won the competition in the 1998-99 season, have been drawn at home to St Patrick’s Athletic while Galway United will have home advantage against Bohemians, who previously lifted the trophy in 2009.
The quarter-finals are scheduled for Monday, May 18, and Tuesday, May 19, and will be played to a finish on the night with provision for extra-time and penalties. The fixtures schedule will be announced in due course.
EA SPORTS Cup Quarter-Final draw is:
