Under-17s overcome Longford Town at Deacy Park

Galway United under-17s booked their place in the Quarter-Final of the Mark Farren Cup with a 6-0 win against Longford Town at Eamonn Deacy Park.

Braces from Donal Higgins and Colin Kelly, along with an OG and a first half strike from Dean Fadden sealed the win.

Galway United under-19s were knocked out of the Enda McGuill Cup, after losing 2-0 against Limerick at Hogan Park.

Attentions now turn to league action at the weekend with a double header at East United on Saturday.

Firstly, United under-17s face UCD at 12.00pm, then our under-15 side welcome Wexford FC to East United with kick-off at 3.30pm.
