Dunne hails United's young guns
Galway United boss Tommy Dunne was full of praise for his young squad after they eked out a much-needed share of the spoils against Drogheda United.
The Tribesmen were without 10 first team regulars due to injury and suspension, U19 players Antaine O’Laoi, Conor Melody and Conor McConnell were thrust into United’s starting eleven against the Boynesiders.
Galway United’s top-scorer, Jake Keegan, opened the scoring in the 44th minute. Drogheda captain Mick Daly pegged United back in the 70th minute with a powerful header.
