MATCH PREVIEW: Bohemians vs Galway United (Women’s Premier Division)
The Tribeswomen are on the road again this week as they face Bohemians in Dalymount Park on Saturday, kick-off at 3pm
United face Bohemians in Dalymount for the first time as the two teams go head to head in an important fixture, with only one point separating the pair in the league table.
Bohemians sit above United in the Women’s Premier Division table in fourth place, but only by a single point. Both sides will be gunning for a win to push on in the final five games of the league campaign.
United will be fully focused on the league after exiting the Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup against Athlone Town on penalties. Bohemians will be juggling both the Women’s Premier Division & FAI Cup after their 3-0 win vs Cabinteely in the first round.
Last Meeting: Galway United 1-0 Bohemians
The two sides previously clashed in Eamonn Deacy Park. The visitors scored the only goal of the game through Sarah Rowe just before half-time. United were unlucky to come away from the game without a point after a very positive performance.
Phil Trill spoke to the media team in relation to Saturday’s game and the challenge that Bohemians pose in what will be a very tight contest.
🗣 Phil Trill: "Bohemians are really organised, they're hard to break down. That's testament in that they've only conceded one more goal than us, both teams have the same amount of league goals this season. I think it's going to be a tough test, a physical game. It's a really good challenge against them, Dalymount Park is a lovely place to play. We've done our homework and we're really looking forward to seeing what we can do."
