Leo Tierney has departed Galway United’s backroom team, after spending four seasons with the club.
The Mayo man served both as first team and goalkeeping coach while at the club.
Tierney told www.galwayunitedfc.ie that he enjoyed his time at Eamonn Deacy Park but work commitments meant that he could no longer commit to his role at the club.
“Firstly, I’d like to thank the club for the last few years, I’ve really enjoyed helping the club to re-establish itself, through the good times and not so good times last year.
“I enjoyed working with the players, who have been excellent and of course all the staff. I’d like to thank the committee for giving me the opportunity.
“Most of all, I’d like to thank the supporters, they’ve been brilliant over the last few years. I really appreciated their encouragement and I wish the club the very best of luck in the future.”
