Ryan Connolly suffers calf-tear
United have been dealt a blow with the news that captain Ryan Connolly has suffered a tear to his calf.
The extent of the injury was confirmed before Friday’s league game against Dundalk, after the results of an MRI scan came through.
Tommy Dunne said: “Ryan had a scan and I’m afraid there’s a tear in his calf.
“He he could be out for three or four weeks and it’s a big blow for us.”
Connolly joins Padraic Cunningham (knee) and Stephen Folan (back) on the sideline.
