Higgins and Kelly star for Ireland

Galway United first team players Donal Higgins and Colin Kelly both started for the Irish Schools side against Australia.

William O’Connor’s side were impressive 3-0 winners against Australia at Whitehall Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The duo impressed hugely for the Connacht Schools side that won the Interprovincial title in November.

Their form was recognised when they both received call ups to the Irish School squad last week and after the friendly win against Austrlia, the focus will now change to preparing for the start of the Centenary Shield defence in March.
