Galway United travel to Longford Town on Friday night with no suspensions and only one player ruled out through injury.
Long-term injury victims Kilian Cantwell and Jason Molloy have both returned to full training in recent weeks.
On Thursday morning, we caught up with Galway United physiotherapist Emmett Hartigan, of Thera-Fitness physiogalway.ie, to get an up-to-date injury status.
After going for further scans, it was revealed that O’Connell’s foot injury was worse than previously thought and that he could be out of action until September. For now, he’s resting up and he is scheduled to go for another meeting with a specialist after the mid-season break.
