United take on Limerick in opening friendly
United take to the field for the first time this season when they face Limerick at the University of Limerick on Saturday evening in a pre-season friendly. Kick-off is at 6.30pm and admission is free.
Galway United manager Shane Keegan has just one minor injury concern as the Tribesmen travel to Limerick for their opening match of 2018.
“The only worry for tomorrow is Conor Melody, who just picked up a slight injury. It’s the type of thing you can easily pick up in the first week of pre-season, but I don’t think he’ll be out for too long.
“After that, we have a full squad to choose from with a few trialists in as well. We plan to have two completely separate teams playing in either half.”
