“I have been happy with the training and how the lads have been performing so far. We are working hard and trying to improve every day. Pre-season has given us a chance to prepare for the season opener against Shelbourne” – John Caulfield, Manager
Galway United welcome Dublin side Bohemian F.C. to Eamonn Deacy Park for their fourth pre-season game at 7:30 pm on Friday evening.
United have impressed in pre-season so far, winning two and drawing one against Premier Division opposition.
‘Bohs’ will offer yet another test for the Tribesmen as they prepare for their opening First Division match against Shelbourne on March 26th.
The Premier Division outfit finished second in the league last season and United boss John Caulfield expects a challenging game for his side.
“Bohemians have qualified for Europe the last couple of years and have built a really strong team,” Caulfield told the club’s media team.
“It is another great game for us, another Premier Division team, and they will be at full strength ahead of the start of their season next week.
“I have been happy with the training and how the lads have been performing so far. We are working hard and trying to improve every day. Pre-season has given us a chance to prepare for the season opener against Shelbourne.
“Bohemians will be a great test for us and it’s another chance to give more game time to the squad.
“Killian Brouder, Ronan Manning, Stephen Christopher and Caoilfhionn O’Dea will be out of tomorrow’s game with small knocks so we won’t risk them. Everyone else will get a run-out.”
